As a Security Officer Unarmed Hospital Driver Patrol in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, entry procedures, and reporting concerns involving restricted areas, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
- Support a professional environment by remaining visible, providing assistance during high‑traffic periods, and following post orders for medical campus operations, after‑hours activity, and/or emergency situations.
- A valid driver s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
- Applicants must have one or more years of law enforcement experience, two or more years of security‑related supervisor and/or manager experience, or five or more years of security‑related experience.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Applicants must have two or more years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver s license will be required for driving positions only.
