Lead, Infrastructure Administration Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Lead, Infrastructure Administration Engineer to helm a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. This role is critical to ensuring rapid incident response, maintaining business continuity, and continuously improving security operations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily security operations, including incident and change management.
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure rapid incident detection and resolution.
  • Participate in and lead response efforts for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents.
  • Ensure operational readiness for troubleshooting and change execution.
  • Lead a distributed team of U.S. based and offshore engineers (FTEs and contractors).
  • Support career growth through coaching, mentoring, and skill development.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high‑performance culture.
  • Act as the escalation point for critical security incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional response efforts to minimize business impact.
  • Partner with Perimeter and Edge Engineering teams to align operations with design.
  • Support rollout and operationalization of new security capabilities.
  • Review and approve operational changes with appropriate risk assessments.
  • Identify and address risks tied to changes or exceptions.
  • Maintain accountability for production changes.
  • Manage lifecycle and health of firewall platforms and proxy technologies (including Zscaler).
  • Ensure systems are secure, updated, and optimized.
  • Enhance processes, workflows, and operational standards.
  • Drive measurable improvements in efficiency and security outcomes.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years in Security Operations.
  • Experience managing network and perimeter security environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with Check Point and Cisco ASA firewalls, proxy solutions, WAF, and Zscaler (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols, client/server architectures, and network traffic flow.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including use of metrics and data.
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical teams.
  • Strong collaboration across technical and non‑technical groups.
  • Experience providing strategic and operational guidance.

  • High uptime and stability of security infrastructure.
  • Strong stakeholder trust and communication during incidents.
  • Continuous improvement in team performance and operational effectiveness.
Shift Hours

This is a night shift role (Estimated shift hours 6pm – 2am).
