Technician Cable Installation

Overview

Prince Telecom is hiring multiple cable technicians for the Ocean Township, NJ area. The Cable Installation Technician will perform residential and/or multi-dwelling unit cable television, high speed data and/or telephony installations from the tap to the customer premise equipment in a safe, courteous and efficient manner to exact client specifications.

Pay: $16/hr+

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot cable TV, internet, telephone and/or alarm equipment in accordance with guidelines.
• Use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
• Ensure that service operates within prescribed parameters.
• Attempt to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
• Drive a company vehicle between home/office, warehouse, and work sites in a safe and courteous manner.
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment in order to be repaired to perform required duties.
• Complete paperwork accurately and report and record work order status updates.
• Greeting customers in the home while conducting a walk through;
• Reviewing all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement;
• Interacting with customers in a professional, courteous manner including when responding to escalations and repeated customer concerns;
• Educating the customer regarding product and service usage.

• Minimum 18 years old
• Valid driver's license required
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company without sponsorship
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Comfortable working in tight spaces such as a crawl space or attic of a house
• Comfortable working through inclement weather
• Able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Able to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends as needed
• Able to lift, climb, and carry ladders with weight of up to 80 lbs.
