BG Staffing is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join a well-established multifamily community in Newark, NJ (07108). Position Overview

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the apartment community. You will respond to service requests, complete preventive maintenance tasks, and ensure apartments are move-in ready, all while delivering excellent customer service to residents and onsite staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Perform general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance repair
• Prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins (turns/make-readies)
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Maintain clean and organized maintenance areas and equipment
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Communicate effectively with property management and residents

Qualifications

• Previous apartment or residential maintenance experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of general maintenance trades
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair common maintenance issues
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
