Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Locksmith Technician I for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). Under the supervision of the Locksmith Supervisor, installs, repairs and maintains commercial security access equipment. Among the key duties of this position are the following: inputs data in access control software for installation and troubleshooting purposes, operates access control, CCTV and alarm systems software, installs security equipment, repairs and maintains security equipment, provides training, guidance and assistance to end users or operators of the system, performs mechanical locksmith duties when and/or if necessary, understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy, keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers' regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified, and performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Salary - 32.520

Mid Range Salary - 33.020

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in access control, installation, and maintenance required.

Certifications/Licenses
- Valid driver's license.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic locksmith skills required. Knowledge of AIX operation an asset. Proven problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills. Must read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Casi-Rusco Security software and hardware a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment - PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Lifting up to 25lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office environment. Moderate noise.
