Position: Tank Builder / Welder (Nationwide)

Tank Builder / Welder (Nationwide)

Full‑time position in a nationwide tank construction company.

Day to Day Duties
  • Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
  • Use generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other power and air tools.
  • Weld plates with 7018, 7024, and 6010 stick (SMAW), flux core (FCAW), and submerged arc automatic machines (3 o’clock and goat/tractor).
  • Employ come‑alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, air bags, winches, and other lifting equipment.
  • Operate tank shell buggies, tank scaffolding, tank ladders, and other specialty equipment.
  • Conduct vacuum box tests, oil tests, dye penetrant tests, and other non‑destructive quality examinations.
  • Utilize gas monitors, fresh air kits, respirators, emergency rescue kits, and other safety equipment.
  • Operate forklifts, man lifts, boom lifts, and other large lifting equipment.
  • Apply knowledge of crane operations, including rigging and signaling.
  • Read detailed erection and fabrication drawings.
  • Plan the sequence and methods of fitting up, welding, repairing, and constructing tanks.
  • Complete job safety analysis, safety audits, site‑specific training, and other safety training.
  • Follow directions and work professionally with other crew members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Great communication and organization skills.
  • Problem‑solving ability and a willingness to suggest improvements to our systems.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Eager to learn.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Willingness to authorize background checks.
  • No criminal convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or acts of terrorism.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks.
  • Willingness to submit to pre‑hire, random, and post‑incident drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to weld is a plus.
