Facilities Repair & Maintenance Technician

Essential Functions

• Perform plumbing maintenance (leaks in drains/faucets, unclogging drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers, etc.)
• Maintain and repair building finishes and support equipment (walls, floors, ceilings, electric systems, plumbing systems and fixtures)
• Install insulation to walls, ceilings, and floors for sound and thermal barriers
• Perform painting, carpentry, and masonry work (surface prep, applying paints/stains/varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks/handles)
• Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance on physical plant utility equipment per SOPs and departmental procedures, including purifying water system and preparing pretreatment solutions
• Use basic computer knowledge for work order requests, PM, and online documentation
• Install/maintain/test filters; maintain/repair/install/lubricate/adjust utility equipment
• Record data and maintain detailed equipment/plant operations and PM records for cGMP compliance
• Monitor/adjust building environmental and equipment set points; respond to out-of-spec situations; analyze issues and recommend corrective actions
• Perform minor electrical maintenance (switches/outlets, bulbs/tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords)
• Conduct daily/monthly facility equipment inspections and manage logs
• Wear proper PPE (required)

• Education:
  
  High School or GED (Required)
• Experience:
  
  2+ years facility maintenance (or related); 2+ years in pharmaceutical, production and/or laboratory environment
• Skills (Intermediate): follow safety standards; observe/record/report unsafe conditions; read/interpret blueprints/schematics; follow orders and complete assignments with minimal supervision; apply preventative maintenance/repair/renovation/minor construction practices; basic computer literacy (web browsers, typing, Microsoft Office, communication tools)

$23.00–$33.00 per hour; short-term incentive/bonus opportunity within first 12 months; competitive health/insurance and 401(k) matching for eligible positions.
