Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician ready to join our fantastic team of professionals? MMS Group is on the hunt for someone like YOU! Our Maintenance technicians are responsible for the maintenance operations related to apartment home upkeep and unit turns.
MMS Group is seeking an experienced Live-in
Building
Maintenance Technician for a combined total of 90
-units over two residential properties located in Newark
, NJ
.
- Maintain residential apartment homes and other areas on the property, including building exteriors, interiors, and public areas, regularly.
- Perform small appliance, plumbing, electrical, and other repairs in residential apartments and other areas of the property.
- Install tile and laminate flooring.
- Participate in the on‑call rotation schedule, responding to emergency calls according to the company's policy on after‑hour emergency calls.
- Manage the turnover of empty apartment units, including repairs (sheetrock, taping, sanding, painting, and fixing doors, windows, light fixtures, etc.).
- Perform other duties as outlined in the job description.

Skills:
Ability to work independently, organize tasks, multitask, manage time, and prioritize tasks. - Communication:

- Experience:
Three+ years of residential multifamily property management/apartment maintenance. - Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. - Skill:
Experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. - License:
Valid driver’s license. - Tools:
Possession of basic tools needed to perform routine maintenance tasks. - Physical Requirements:
Physical aspects of the job may require heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, balancing, and carrying. - Computer
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
