HVAC Technician

The Role

PFO Heating & Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician who takes pride in doing the job right and treating customers the way they’d want their own family treated.

You’ll be working alongside a close-knit team of long-tenured technicians, sharing the workload and the responsibility of delivering dependable, high-quality service to homeowners throughout New Jersey.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands that when a customer calls, they’re often stressed, uncomfortable, and looking for reassurance. Your job is not just to fix the system, but to show up with confidence, empathy, and a clear “we’ve got this” attitude.

• A technician who brings energy, professionalism, and compassion to every call
• Strong experience servicing residential heating systems
• Air conditioning experience and certifications are strongly preferred
• Oil-fired system experience and certifications are strongly preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and provide reassurance during high-stress situations
• Comfortable using mobile technology and service software
• Professional, courteous phone manner
• Bilingual candidates are a plus
• A true team player who works well in a collaborative environment
• This is a cohesive, supportive crew. If you prefer working against the grain, this won’t be the right fit.

• Minimum 1 year of HVAC service experience required
• EPA Type II certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license and ability to commute to NJ job sites
• Must be able to work in person

• Monday–Friday
• Nights and weekends as needed during peak periods
