Boiler Operator
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Boiler Operator to oversee the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of boiler systems and related utility equipment. The Boiler Operator is responsible for ensuring efficient steam production, conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor boilers, steam systems, compressors, pumps, and related utility equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and maintain accurate operating logs.
- Monitor pressure, temperature, water levels, and fuel consumption to ensure efficient performance.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel on preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards.
- Respond to emergency situations involving boiler and utility systems.
- Conduct water testing and chemical treatment procedures as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized boiler room and work area.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Boiler Operator License or Stationary Engineer License preferred, where applicable.
- Previous experience operating industrial boilers and utility systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of steam systems, pumps, valves, and preventive maintenance practices.
This is a Permanent position based out of Newark, NJ.
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $34.00/hr.
