Material Recovery Facility Maintenance Mechanic

Interstate Waste Services is seeking a Material Recovery Facility Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair sorting, baling, and conveyor equipment at our MRF. In this safety-focused, team-based role, you’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues, and minimize downtime to keep recycling operations running reliably. Working in our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management department, you’ll use your hands-on skills to support sustainable waste and recycling solutions for the NY/NJ region while building a stable career with growth, training, and competitive benefits.
