Adult Social Worker - Learning Disability

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Learning Disability Team at Somerset.

Responsibleforacaseloadofvaryingcomplexity,commensuratewithabilityand qualifications, receiving and responding to referrals from various sources.

• Theneedtoengagewith peoplerefusingaservicewho areat risktoselfor others.
• Theneedforsensitivenegotiationwhenassessingserviceusersandcarerswhere there is conflict or lack of insight.
• Effectivelymanagepeoplepresentingincrisisneedingaquickresolution,using relevant legislation and resources.
• Statutoryresponsibilityfortheassessmentofcarers(includingyoungcarers) needs and the formulation of a carers care pl

• Professional
  
  Qualification:
  
  A recognised professional qualification in social work, such as an MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work).
• Registration:
  Must be registered with Social Work England, the regulatory body for social workers in England.
• Experience:
  
  2+ years post qualified experience as an adult social worker in a statutory setting.
• Knowledge of Legislation:
  Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
• Skills:
  
  Strong assessment and analysis skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence and access to a car are often required for client visits.
