We are hiring a Social Worker for one of our clients in Newark, NJ
.
LCSW candidate will review, evaluate, and report on treatment records, investigative data, consumer complaints, adverse action reports from healthcare entities, disciplinary reports from other state licensing entities and other related to licensees.
LCSW candidate must hold an active, valid unrestricted license as a licensed clinical social worker LCSW. In NJ throughout the duration of the engagement. Identify any and all social work licenses held or previously held in any state of jurisdiction. Have no history of disciplinary action taken by any licensing entity in the state or in the future.
- The Board of Social Work Examiners (BSWE) is a professional licensing board that oversees and regulates the practice of social work in the State. The BSWE is responsible for protecting the public s health, safety, and well-being by determining qualifications of applicants for licensure as certified social workers, licensed social workers, and licensed clinical social workers; establishing standards of practice for these professionals;
investigating complaints and executing remedial and disciplinary actions against those who do not adhere to the established standards of practice. - The BSWE is looking for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who will review, evaluate, and report on treatment records, investigative data, consumer complaints, adverse action reports from healthcare entities, disciplinary reports from other state licensing entities, and other reports related to licensees.
- The LCSW must hold an active, valid, unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.) in New Jersey throughout the duration of the engagement. Identify any and all social work licenses held or previously held in any state or jurisdiction. Have no history of disciplinary action taken by any licensing entity in the State or any other state or jurisdiction now, or in the future.
- Estimate of 21 to 28 hours per week
- The LCSW shall perform, but not be limited to, the following tasks:
- a. Evaluate complaints and reports against licensed and certified social workers to determine if the social workers have met the minimum care requirements of the practice standards;
- b. Collaborate with the administrative, investigative, and legal staff in the initial review and evaluation of all complaints and reports, and will prepare written summaries, and recommendations for, but not limited to:
- 1. Consumer complaints filed against licensed and certified social workers;
- 2. Reports of malpractice payments made on behalf of licensed and certified social workers;
- 3. Reports concerning the incompetency of licensed social workers;
- 4. Reports concerning the unprofessional conduct of licensed and certified social workers; and
- 5. Any other complaints, adverse actions, actions of other states licensing boards, or reports made to the BSWE concerning licensed and certified social workers.
- c. Coordinate and assist in the information-gathering process including, but not limited to:
- 1. Identifying documents needed for the formal investigative process; and
- 2. Preparing written case descriptions, treatment summaries, and evaluations of allegations.
- d. Prepare questions to be raised during investigative inquiries and formal hearings concerning, but not limited to:
- 1. Consumer complaints filed against licensed and certified social workers;
- 2. Reports of malpractice payments made on behalf of licensed and certified social workers;
- 3.Reports concerning the incompetency of licensed and certified social workers;
- 4. Reports concerning the unprofessional conduct of licensed and certified social workers; and
- 5. Any other complaints, adverse actions, actions of other states licensing boards, or reports made to the BSWE concerning licensed and certified social workers.
