Description
Java Developer for Fidelity Digital Assets in Jersey City, NJ. The role involves developing an enterprise‑grade platform for storing, trading and servicing digital assets (Bitcoin, Ethereum). You will be part of the Trading team, writing code for product features in a hands‑on role and contributing to secure, scalable, cloud‑based services using modern software development practices.

The Role:

• BS or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics (or equivalent).
• 8+ years of technology experience in developing and implementing software solutions in highly scalable environments with a focus on financial technologies, particularly electronic trading.
• Proven leadership of technology and business solutions with experience guiding highly skilled teams.
• Experience in high‑volume, low‑latency real‑time messaging applied to electronic trading.
• End‑to‑end Software Engineering experience in an Agile environment.
• Ability to clarify user requirements and define accurate use cases.
• Hands‑on development skills with technology leadership and ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent; advanced study preferred.
• 10+ years IT experience as a developer.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST services; exposure to cloud technologies (AWS or Microsoft Azure).
• JavaScript skills are a plus; knowledge of AG Grid and JEST is preferred.
• Experience with modern web application packaging/deployment (Yeoman; Grunt/Gulp a plus).
• Experience with Ant/Maven, Nexus, Git/Jenkins or NPM is highly preferred.
• Experience handling large data in real‑time applications with big‑data tech such as KDB/Q or similar.
• Agile environment experience;
  Scrum certifications preferred.
• Prior exposure to trading systems or brokerage technology preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; ability to multitask.
• Familiarity with event‑driven and service‑oriented processing.
• Cloud technologies experience; industry certifications welcome but hands‑on expertise valued.

• Work Arrangement – Fidelity works 1 week onsite and then 1 week remote.
• Job Type – W2, Contract position based out of Jersey City, NJ.

The pay range is $80.00 – $85.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits may include Medical, dental & vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, PTO, and more, subject to plan terms.

Hybrid position in Jersey City, NJ.
