Contract-to-Hire Opportunity with a Major Investment Firm
Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid - 3 Days/Week Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months (Contract-to-Hire)
Pay Rate: Up to $70/hour W2 (Based on Experience)

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong emphasis on React and Node.js development to join a growing technology team supporting enterprise applications within a leading financial services organization.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building modern, scalable web applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. You'll work on innovative digital initiatives that directly support business growth while leveraging modern cloud technologies and development best practices.
What You'll Do- Build scalable, high-quality applications using modern development standards and architectural best practices
- Develop responsive front-end applications using React.js
- Design and build backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and fellow Engineers to deliver business-critical solutions
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to application architecture
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Develop unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing solutions
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adopt emerging technologies
- Work within Agile teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule
- Strong hands-on experience with React.js
, including Hooks, state management, and component-based architecture - Solid backend development experience using Node.js (Express and/or NestJS)
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
- Experience building applications using microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, API Gateway, and Lambda
- Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker and AWS ECS or EKS
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
- Understanding of AWS infrastructure concepts including VPC, IAM, Load Balancers, and Auto Scaling
- Experience working with relational and/or No
SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Cloud Watch
- Experience working within enterprise-scale application environments
- Knowledge of React best practices for building responsive, scalable user interfaces
- Exposure to cloud-native application development
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Financial services experience is a plus
