Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Newark, NJ offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Driver positions include weekly pay, home at least every other weekend, and must be able and willing to drive into Canada.

• Solo miles pay: $0.59 per mile (2000–2500 miles per week)
• Van stop pay: $16.37 per stop plus $107.56 per dry van unload (average 8–10 stops per week)
• Rolling stop pay: $28.20
• Safety bonus: $250 four times a year
• Loyalty bonus: $2000 at 6 months and $2000 at 1 year
• Paid training

• 80 hours PTO in first year, starting day 1

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑tanker or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect, eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
