Job Summary
Under general supervision, this position manages specific functions of the warehouse and operations including warehouse, temporary contracted workers, carriers, and/or company drivers, receipt, inventory, material handling, and safety of goods. Provides general oversight of operations to ensure a safe, reliable environment, and works with internal and external contacts for accurate management, routing, and delivery of inventory. Incumbents must work any shift to satisfy scheduling flexibility to ensure operational success (day, night, weekend).
Occasional travel for training, meetings, and account coverage may be necessary as business needs arise.
- Manage daily warehouse operations of processing inventory in compliance with established internal controls; ensure timely and accurate processing of goods to customers and/or vendors, and maintain cleanliness and proper warehouse environment.
- Build and maintain positive professional relationships with personnel to minimize turnover and maximize productivity.
- Assist with on‑time service and meet customer requirements, including managing exceptions on freight and ETA adjustments based on pickup and delivery schedules and other factors.
- Communicate operational safety standards, warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements; enforce company policies and safety compliance.
- Work with personnel and/or drivers to resolve service issues, routing receipt, inventory, material handling, and safety of goods, and coordinate warehouse resources as needed.
- Perform administrative duties such as payroll, management of the Net‑Revenue budget, safety event reviews, filing and documenting, defect documentation, pay issue resolution, invoicing, and operational or financial reports.
- Maximize operational efficiency and profitability; recommend continuous improvement and measure key performance indicators for operations and warehouse processes.
- Utilize personnel management including training and orientation, and assist with internal and third‑party systems.
- Fill in for absent personnel and support special projects related to optimizing operations and achieving profitability.
- Assist warehouse workers with duties such as operating loading/unloading vehicles, preparing goods and materials, processing receipts, inventory, etc.
- Assist in yard management as part of daily tasks.
Minimum Qualification: High School Diploma/GED and 2‑3 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or equivalent military experience and the ability to work multiple shifts (including nights and/or weekends).

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field and 1‑2 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or equivalent military experience; experience in distribution, warehouse operations, and training others; ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move up to 100 lbs).
CompensationExpected starting pay range is $66,000.00 – $82,500.00 per year. Pay may vary based on skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications. Position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes per company plans.
