The Fountain Group is currently seeking a --------CDL Class A Truck Driver for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in --Newark, NJ. Details for the position are as follows:
CDL Class A Truck Driver
Location: Newark, NJ
Pay Rate: $31.50–$33.00/hr
Duration: 3 Months
- Transport and deliver materials safely and on schedule to customer locations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance checks.
- Plan and follow delivery routes using GPS navigation.
- Maneuver trucks for loading and unloading operations.
- Complete delivery documentation, logs, and electronic data entry.
- Verify delivery instructions and maintain required transportation records.
- Report vehicle defects, incidents, and regulatory compliance issues.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable interstate Class A CDL driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no moving violations or at-fault accidents within the past 3 years.
- Experience performing DOT-compliant vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance checks.
- Valid DOT medical certificate (Long Form) or ability to obtain one through pre-employment physical.
- Proficiency using GPS navigation systems for route planning.
- Experience with electronic driver logs, transportation documentation, and data entry.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle safety requirements.
- Experience operating CB radio and in-cab communication systems.
- Experience delivering industrial or commercial materials.
- Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures for commercial freight.
- Experience maintaining delivery and compliance documentation in transportation environments.
