CDL Class A Truck Driver

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Newark, NJ. Details for the position are as follows:

Location: Newark, NJ

Pay Rate: $31.50–$33.00/hr

Duration: 3 Months

• Transport and deliver materials safely and on schedule to customer locations.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance checks.
• Plan and follow delivery routes using GPS navigation.
• Maneuver trucks for loading and unloading operations.
• Complete delivery documentation, logs, and electronic data entry.
• Verify delivery instructions and maintain required transportation records.
• Report vehicle defects, incidents, and regulatory compliance issues.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable interstate Class A CDL driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations or at-fault accidents within the past 3 years.
• Experience performing DOT-compliant vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance checks.
• Valid DOT medical certificate (Long Form) or ability to obtain one through pre-employment physical.
• Proficiency using GPS navigation systems for route planning.
• Experience with electronic driver logs, transportation documentation, and data entry.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle safety requirements.
• Experience operating CB radio and in-cab communication systems.

• Experience delivering industrial or commercial materials.
• Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures for commercial freight.
• Experience maintaining delivery and compliance documentation in transportation environments.
