Accounting Manager

Our client is hiring an Accounting Manager (Onsite – Newark, OH) to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and team development. This role is responsible for managing the month-end close, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. The Accounting Manager will work closely with leadership and internal teams to support business goals.

• Manage month-end close activities, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance
• Supervise accounting staff and oversee daily accounting operations
• Ensure accurate financial statements and adherence to GAAP
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and audit readiness
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Work with internal teams to resolve issues, analyze results, and improve performance
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve system utilization

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
• 5+ years of accounting experience including supervisory or team leadership responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting operations
• ERP system experience and strong Excel proficiency
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
