Automotive Technician

Coughlin GM of Newark is hiring full-time Automotive Service Technicians

One of the fastest-growing dealerships in Central Ohio, Coughlin Automotive has over 1,000 vehicles in stock and locations across Newark, Pataskala, Circleville, Heath, Chillicothe, Lancaster, Lewis Center, Dublin and Marysville. It operates sixteen service centers and four collision centers, and carries thirteen brands including Buick, Chrysler, GMC, Ford, Chevrolet, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Cadillac, Hyundai, Toyota, Nissan, and Kia. As a technician, you will diagnose mechanical problems, provide clear explanations to customers, and perform repairs on a variety of makes and models. You will also conduct regular maintenance services, demonstrate strong customer service, and have opportunities to obtain additional certifications to advance your career.

• Automobile repair experience
• Knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in vehicle repair and maintenance
• Multiple certifications preferred; dealership experience is a plus
• Service-oriented and attentive to detail
• Ability to explain technical information in layman’s terms

The schedule is approximately 40 hours per week, with no cap on hours for flat-rate technicians. Service departments are closed on Sundays and open until 6 p.m. during the week.

Salary ranges from $50,000 to $125,000 per year, depending on experience and performance.
