• Hold valid Ohio High School certificate/license for Life Science or Integrated Science (7-12)
• Be aware of the social and emotional needs of each individual student
• Have knowledge and/or experience teaching a variety of levels of high school Life Science
• Be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the high school student
• Use data to drive instruction
• Be able to differentiate instruction to all high school learners
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate multiple disciplines
• Have interest in and willingness to work with students in co‑ or extra‑curricular activities
• Have evidence of successful classroom management and instructional skills
• Have experience with team teaching or knowledge of team teaching activities
• Incorporate technology into the classroom
• Be willing to teach intervention skills outside of Life Science
• Be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Life Science standards
• Have interest in students beyond the classroom
• Be acceptable to the Building Principal and Assistant Superintendent of Certificated/Licensed Personnel
