- Hold a valid Ohio Education Intervention Specialist License K-12 (mild/moderate or moderate/intensive)
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience
- Possess skills and ability to collect and analyze student data to measure growth and determine instructional support needs of teachers
- Demonstrate ability to work with adult learners
- Communicate clearly and effectively with students and adults
- Instruct and support the implementation of evidence-based practices
- Possess knowledge of and willingness to teach in inclusion model
- Documented recent participation in professional growth activities
- Self-directed
- Have ability to plan and lead professional development
- Have ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
- Have ability to serve as resource specialist for Intervention Specialist
- Possess knowledge of Ohio content standards
- Have ability to use data to coach other teachers
- Demonstrated ability to write compliant IEPs/ETRs
- Knowledge and understanding of IEP processes for services decisions and how to write in compliant fashion
- Positive representative for the Student Services department
- Be acceptable to the Director of Student Services and Assistant Superintendent of Certificated/Licensed Personnel
