Job Description

The Licking Regional ESC has an opening for an Educational Aide. The aide will be located at Phoenix Central. Our students have emotional disabilities and will require a sensitive candidate willing to work with small group of high need students. Applicants should be team oriented, have a desire to learn new things and be willing to take instruction. Self-motivation is highly desired as are honesty, integrity and confidentiality.

Job Requirements
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
    2. Valid ODE Educational Aide Permit
    3. Successful completion of BCI/FBI background checks

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Work in cooperation with classroom teacher
    2. Ability to work with children that may have severe emotional disorders, severe cognitive delays or multiple disabilities
    3. Be sensitive to the needs of others
    4. Be adaptable & flexible
    5. Maintain confidential information regarding students, families and programming staff
    6. Be adept/comfortable with computer technology
    7. Ability to read and comprehend instruction, correspondence and memos
    8. Wiling to participate in appropriate professional development as needed
    9. Ability to effectively present information to students, families, and other staff members
    10. Physical demands must be met to perform essential duties required of the position
    11. Ability to obtain & maintain proper credentials
    12. Must demonstrate regular & predictable attendance
  • High School/Trade School degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
