Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Human Resources Certification - SHRM-CP® or PHR® or equivalent preferred.
  • 3+ years of HR experience, with direct talent acquisition/recruiting and employee relations responsibilities. Talent management experience preferred also.
  • Knowledge of legally compliant interviewing and hiring best practices, with the ability to coach and train hiring managers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR technologies, including ATS, HRIS, job boards, social media, and candidate sourcing tools; ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently or collaboratively (including virtual teams).
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, facilitate discussions, apply sound judgment, and effectively manage conflict resolution.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information.

What Your Day Will Look Like

The primary objective of the HR Generalist is to coordinate and manage all phases of hiring and onboarding loan officers, administrative and professional staff (full-cycle recruiting); provide HR generalist support in employee relations, performance management and other areas; assist with administration of HRIS system; back up HR team members in Payroll, Benefits, Licensing, and Compliance; and maintain compliance with all applicable federal and state laws while creating a superior candidate experience.

  • Partner with management to lead full-cycle recruitment for administrative, professional, sales, and operational support roles, including sourcing, interviewing, interview coordination and selection.
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through strategic networking and enhanced recruiting programs that promote the company’s culture and employee value proposition.
  • Develop, post, and manage internal and external job postings; maintain accurate applicant tracking system (ATS) workflows and data.
  • Initiate pre-employment screenings, including background and credit checks.
  • Conduct professional onboarding and orientation for all new hires and provide timely onboarding information to Payroll and Licensing for loan officers.
  • Support HRIS administration, including employee self-service, timekeeping assistance, employee documentation, and updating employee communications.
  • Manage employee off-boarding processes, including exit interviews and unemployment claim coordination.
