A leading manufacturing company in Newark, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Training Manager to build, manage, and continuously improve the plant’s training, onboarding, and competency systems. This role ensures employees across all departments are properly trained, certified, and capable of performing safety?critical and quality?critical tasks. The position supports compliance, drives skill development, strengthens culture, and plays a key role in operational excellence.

Compensation ranges from $95k–$105k with strong benefits, bonuses, and 401(k) matching.

• Develop and maintain job-specific training matrices, qualification paths, and competency verification
• Manage onboarding for new hires, transfers, and promotions
• Ensure accurate training records for OSHA, customer, insurance, and internal audits
• Integrate safety requirements (LOTO, PPE, JSAs, confined space, etc.) into training programs
• Partner with EHS, Operations, and Quality to evaluate training effectiveness and address gaps
• Recruit and develop trainers; implement Train-the-Trainer programs
• Reinforce company culture, values, and expected behaviors through training
• Support CI initiatives, new equipment rollouts, and upskilling plans
• Identify workforce development needs and support succession planning

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Safety, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in manufacturing
• Experience building auditable training and competency systems

• Strong coaching, communication, and leadership skills
• Familiarity with LMS/digital training tools
• Experience supporting AWWA or customer audits
