Manufacturing Operations Trainee (Recent College Graduates)
Location: Newark, OH Area
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000

This entry-level Manufacturing Operations Trainee role is designed to develop the next generation of leaders through hands‑on experience and structured learning.
You’ll gain exposure to all aspects of plant operations while building the skills needed to step into a supervisory role. This program combines technical training with early leadership development, giving you the tools to make decisions, lead teams, and drive operational performance.

- Assist with production scheduling and workflow coordination
- Learn and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, downtime, scrap, and throughput
- Coordinate with maintenance teams on equipment issues
- Assist with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities
- Support equipment installations and process improvements
- Follow and help enforce quality standards
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements
- Promote and model safe behaviors on the production floor
- Participate in safety audits and hazard identification initiatives
- Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams
- Develop leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
- Recent college graduate (Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Operations, or related fields preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Interest in manufacturing operations and leadership development
