Broad River Rehab

We are hiring a Part‑time Restorative & Functional Maintenance Nursing Assistant (RNA/STNA) for our Therapy Department in Newark, OH. The position works Monday‑Friday during day turns with no weekend or evening shifts.

• Record all restorative and/or functional maintenance program documentation entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly documentation in accordance with restorative program and/or functional maintenance program guidelines with oversight by the Clinical Supervisor (Rehab Director / Facility Restorative Nurse).
• Work closely with therapists and the Facility Restorative Nurse to establish restorative nursing goals and interventions for each resident’s care plan.
• Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties.
• Under the direction of the Rehab Director / Facility Restorative Nurse, optimize abilities and skills of patients in facilities.
• Transport and move patients as directed.
• Assist licensed personnel in patient care.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of therapy equipment and area.
• Maintain awareness of changes in patient population, programs, and patient conditions and inform licensed personnel.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with professional staff and maintain good public relations with patients and families.
• Maintain confidentiality of company, patient, and client information.
• Adhere to the appropriate dress code for the assigned facility and work environment.
• Adhere to the requirements of the patient's Bill of Rights.

• Complete appropriate forms and records as directed, make copies, and obtain necessary signatures.
• Ensure that written and oral communications are directed to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow established protected health information (HIPAA) policies to prevent privacy or security breaches. Report any breaches to Broad River Rehab Management.

• Lift up to 50 lbs constantly; lift over 50 lbs frequently.

• Twisting, bending, crawling, squatting, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and balancing are required.
• Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the community.
• Must have adequate vision or hearing or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately to meet the position requirements.

• Current STNA certification in the state.
• Current physical exam and/or free from communicable disease as required by state law.
• Availability of automobile during working hours with a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance (where appropriate).
