Broad River Rehab
We are hiring a Part‑time Restorative & Functional Maintenance Nursing Assistant (RNA/STNA) for our Therapy Department in Newark, OH. The position works Monday‑Friday during day turns with no weekend or evening shifts.
Responsibilities- Record all restorative and/or functional maintenance program documentation entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly documentation in accordance with restorative program and/or functional maintenance program guidelines with oversight by the Clinical Supervisor (Rehab Director / Facility Restorative Nurse).
- Work closely with therapists and the Facility Restorative Nurse to establish restorative nursing goals and interventions for each resident’s care plan.
- Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties.
- Under the direction of the Rehab Director / Facility Restorative Nurse, optimize abilities and skills of patients in facilities.
- Transport and move patients as directed.
- Assist licensed personnel in patient care.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of therapy equipment and area.
- Maintain awareness of changes in patient population, programs, and patient conditions and inform licensed personnel.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with professional staff and maintain good public relations with patients and families.
- Maintain confidentiality of company, patient, and client information.
- Adhere to the appropriate dress code for the assigned facility and work environment.
- Adhere to the requirements of the patient's Bill of Rights.
- Complete appropriate forms and records as directed, make copies, and obtain necessary signatures.
- Ensure that written and oral communications are directed to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow established protected health information (HIPAA) policies to prevent privacy or security breaches. Report any breaches to Broad River Rehab Management.

Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs constantly; lift over 50 lbs frequently.
- Carry up to 10 lbs constantly; carry 11–50 lbs occasionally.
- Reach above shoulder height frequently; reach at shoulder height constantly; reach below shoulder height constantly.
- Push/Pull constantly.
- Twisting, bending, crawling, squatting, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and balancing are required.
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the community.
- Must have adequate vision or hearing or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately to meet the position requirements.
- Current STNA certification in the state.
- Current physical exam and/or free from communicable disease as required by state law.
- Availability of automobile during working hours with a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance (where appropriate).
