Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the delivery of quality care by adhering to the nursing care plan and supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. The RN is a vital member of the healthcare team, committed to maintaining patient and employee safety while delivering high‑quality services.
Responsibilities- Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
- Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient’s diagnosis in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide timely patient information for team conferences and ensure accurate documentation in the medical record.
- Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and deliver direct patient care using the nursing process.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
- Communicate changes in patient status to care providers for continuity of care.
- Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel while organizing and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Foster a safe work environment by adhering to hospital policies and procedures related to personal and environmental safety.
- Assume charge responsibilities as requested and contribute positively to team dynamics.
- Engage in professional development through continuing education and self‑study.
- BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
- ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
- Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
