LPN​/LVN or RN

• Perform physical examinations and establish medical histories to determine donor suitability
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction
• Ensure donor and staff confidentiality
• Inform donors about potential hazards
• Provide donor education regarding general health
• Counsel donors regarding unacceptable test results
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events
• Evaluate illness and medication histories to ensure continued donor suitability
• Assist with employee training
• Administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program

• Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocation Nurse
• Current CPR certification required
• Ability to stand and sit for up to 2 to 4 hours per day each
• Ability to bend and twist the neck for 1 to 2 hours per day
• Frequent hand and finger movement, with precise coordinated movements to grasp and manipulate objects
• Ability to squat, crouch, or sit on one's heels on rare occasions
• Ability to lift 15 lbs. routinely, with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
• Hearing acuity essential
• Correctable color perception/discrimination, near vision, and far vision
• Ability to communicate and understand spoken and written information
• Ability to work independently and follow oral or written instructions
• Ability to perform varied tasks under changing conditions
• Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
• Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical office/laboratory equipment, and extreme cold
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment

Demonstrates expertise in performing physical examinations and establishing medical histories to assess donor suitability, while ensuring donor education and confidentiality. Proficient in managing donor injuries and adverse events, and capable of training employees in health protocols.
