Assistant Director of Nursing; RN​/Wound Care Nurse

Tobin & Associates is seeking an experienced RN for a Perm (and Interim) Assistant Director of Nursing / Wound Care Nurse role on behalf of a large, fast-paced Skilled Nursing Facility in Newark, Ohio.

In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing to support daily clinical operations, guide nursing staff, and maintain consistent, high-quality resident care. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on nursing leader who can quickly build relationships and provide support during a leadership transition.

• Assist the Director of Nursing with daily oversight of nursing services and clinical operations.
• Spearhead Wound Care treatments.
• Support staffing, scheduling, and nursing team accountability to promote continuity of care.
• Conduct clinical rounds, review documentation, and follow up on changes in resident condition.
• Help maintain compliance with facility policies and applicable state and federal requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, and survey readiness activities.
• Provide staff education, coaching, and hands-on clinical support as needed.
• Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to address care needs and concerns.
• Assist with incident investigations and follow-through on corrective actions.

• Active, unrestricted RN license authorizing practice in Ohio.
• Previous nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Prior ADON, DON, Unit Manager, or comparable nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Preferably Wound Care Certified.
• Strong knowledge of clinical practices, documentation, and skilled nursing operations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
