Veterinary Assistant – Newark Veterinary Hospital
Newark Veterinary Hospital, proudly the only AHAA-Accredited clinic in Newark, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for outgoing assistants with a strong background in patient care and handling, who thrive on building meaningful connections with clients and their pets.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient and client care by ensuring an efficient exam room workflow.
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records.
- Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients, answering questions with empathy and clarity.
- Support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient care and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience with exotics is highly desired.
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Radiology
- Phlebotomy
- Inpatient care
- Sample collection
- Surgical and procedural set up
- Compensation: $14‑17 per hour, for each hour worked.
- Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current experience.
