Overview

Requisition Number: 29512. Ameri Gas, founded in 1959, is the nation’s premier propane company, serving over 1.5 million residential, commercial, industrial and motor fuel propane customers. With more than 6,500 dedicated professionals, Ameri Gas delivers over 1 billion gallons of propane from 1,800+ distribution points across the United States.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prospects, qualifies, and closes new customers by selling propane solutions within a specific territory assignment.
  • Increases commercial revenue from new and existing customers.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
  • Develops and executes sales plans for the assigned geographic area to maintain a high level of effective sales call activity and increase productivity.
  • Prepares and presents sales proposals to current and prospective customers.
  • Focuses on decision makers in targeted client organizations to lead them to the Ameri Gas solution.
  • Manages time effectively to meet commitments to clients.
  • Protects Ameri Gas from competitive threats and shares excellent competitive intelligence.
  • Works with Territory Sales Manager and vendors to improve use of sales tools and techniques.
  • Maintains knowledge of applications and customer solutions.
  • Attends periodic meetings and training classes as required.
  • Prepares complete and accurate paperwork based on corporate policy and procedures.
  • Reviews commission statements and ensures accurate commission.
  • Is proficient in the regular use of the CRM tool for new account acquisition.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient sales skills to independently prospect assigned geographic territory, probe to discover needs, present solutions, and secure new business.
  • Maintains a high level of productivity through careful time management.
  • Understands propane products and services.
  • Has a valid driver’s license and can travel within the local area, including customer visits, district visits, and trade shows.
Education and Experience
  • College degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Sales experience with a demonstrated record of sales success and goal attainment.
  • Commercial or industrial sales experience preferred.
Compensation

Salary base range: $65,000 – $65,000 annually. Additional compensation includes eligibility to earn a performance-based commission monthly plus an annual bonus. Total compensation potential is $128,000 based on achieving targeted goals.
