Telematics Installer – Newark, OH

Seasoned Technical Installer to install and repair our telematics system and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, and heavy equipment.

Salary range: $20–$30 per hour. Monday to Friday, 7:00AM–5:00PM with overtime pay after 40 hours. The role may include on‑call scheduling with additional compensation.

• Install telematics system and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets.
• Operate machinery during installation for testing purposes.
• Remove and replace ignition systems without custom keypad and controller, then integrate communication between keypad and telematics systems.
• Handle a variety of installation scenarios from basic (power, ignition, ground) to complex (requiring custom wiring harnesses to access the CAN network).
• Identify and resolve problems, gather and analyze information, and develop alternative solutions when necessary.
• Travel to client sites or various Equipment Share rental yards within the region for installation cases.
• Advocate for the Equipment Share platform and brand while on the job and in the field.
• Occasionally work outside of business hours and on weekends.

• High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certificate preferred).
• Mechanical aptitude, good with your hands and tools.
• Experience in a related field such as electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer, mobile electronics installer, automotive electronics technician, or 12V technician.
• Own tools; a few specialty tools will be provided.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
• Open to traveling within a 250‑mile radius of the local branch for up to a week at a time.
• Capable of driving, maneuvering in tight spaces, bending, squatting, walking long distances, and lifting more than 25lb.
• Telephone and mobile phone technology proficiency and basic computer navigation.
• Clean shaven may be required to enter worksites for Equipment Share customers.
• Must pass a 10‑panel drug screen.
• Hard worker with excellent attention to detail.
