This role requires at least three years of practical experience in one or more of the technical trades (HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, etc.). Trade school or related college coursework is preferred. Previous experience in customer service and hotels is preferred, while any license the property may require is essential, as is the ability to work with the various tools and other equipment utilized in the department.

To be successful, you must have good communication skills, with fluency in English preferred.

Physical requirements include the ability to perform heavy work – exerting up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, 50 lbs frequently and 20 lbs constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. The role requires the ability to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, and work under variable temperatures and noise levels.

You must have near vision, be able to climb stairs and descend stairs in a timely fashion without fatigue, and be able to move quickly and agile if a situation requiring quick action arises. Long hours are sometimes required. Work will be under variable temperature and noise, indoors and outdoors (including potentially on roofs), and around chemicals, fumes, hazards, dust and mites.
