Catholic Social Services (CSS) assists senior citizens and individuals with disabilities by offering dependable transportation to their destinations. Access to safe, reliable transportation enhances their ability to manage personal needs, greatly improving their quality of life and supporting independent living.

Location:

Newark, OH

Work hours varies 15 – 22 hours per week

• Client transport includes counties surrounding Licking County.
• Provide door-to-door assistance, to the clients, during transport to their destinations.
• Follow all vehicle upkeep and safety procedures.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspection of vehicle.
• Provide updates on client conditions and service needs.
• Record client transport activities and mileage daily.

• Always demonstrate professionalism and courtesy.
• Ability to:
  • drive safely.
  • carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
  • use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
  • use technology to obtain daily schedule and transport forms.
  • maintain basic logs and records.

• Pass a BCI/FBI criminal background check and drug & alcohol screening:
  • At time of hire and every five (5) years.

• Maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable (clean) driving record:
  • At time of hire and yearly driving record check.

• High School or equivalent
• Valid Ohio Driver’s license and clean driving record
