Lead, Inventory Control

Core-Mark is seeking a Lead, Inventory Control to guide inventory operations in our wholesale distribution environment. In this role, you will oversee stock accuracy, coordinate cycle counts, investigate variances, and optimize product flow to over 45,000 retail locations. You'll collaborate closely with warehouse, purchasing, and transportation teams while leading and mentoring inventory staff. This position supports a culture of integrity, customer focus, and continuous improvement, offering opportunities for growth and skill development within a major North American distributor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily inventory control operations for Core-Mark's wholesale distribution center
• Monitor stock levels, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure inventory accuracy in warehouse systems
• Lead cycle counts, audits, and root-cause analysis to reduce shrink and improve fill rates
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and transportation teams on stock replenishment and product flow
• Implement and refine inventory control procedures aligned with company standards and customer needs
• Train, coach, and guide inventory staff on best practices and system usage
• Prepare inventory reports and KPIs, communicating results and issues to management
• Support continuous improvement, safety, and quality initiatives within inventory processes
