OverviewOur client, a highly respected manufacturer in the Willamette Valley, is looking for their next Senior Cost Accountant. Are you up for the challenge?
As the Senior Cost Accountant, you’ll analyze and maintain standard cost accounting, investigate and resolve variances, and prepare detailed cost analysis reports. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to optimize cost efficiency and improve overall performance while assisting the corporate accounting team with FP&A duties (for example, helping to develop margins and new product pricing). An expertise with accounting software is crucial here, as you’ll conduct regular audits of inventory and support month-end and year-end closing duties.
Success in this role requires extensive accounting experience, a resourceful and collaborative approach, and the ability to take initiative with an organized mindset. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site work during training and month-end. This is a three-month contract, set to end in May.
Responsibilities- Analyze and maintain standard cost accounting
- Investigate and resolve variances; prepare detailed cost analysis reports
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize cost efficiency and performance
- Assist corporate accounting team with FP&A duties (margins, pricing)
- Conduct regular inventory audits and support month-end and year-end closing duties
- 5+ years of cost accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA/MBA strongly preferred
This is a hybrid role and will require on-site work while training and during month-end. This is also a three-month contract, set to end in May.
