Sr. Accountant

The Senior Accountant prepares and maintains financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities.

• Prepares monthly balance sheet and income statement journal entries.
• Reconciles GLaccounts, including complex and intercompany accounts as assigned and teams with others to resolve reconciling items as needed
• Support month end process and closing of the books
• Assists with month end reviews and trend analysis
• Assists with month end inventory, revenue and costing reporting
• Research and analyze complex financial and accounting results and issues
• Assists with department expense discussions of budget to actuals as assigned
• Assist with operational adhoc reporting
• Assist in driving operational process improvements
• Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Handles stress in a professional manner, demonstrates the ability to get along with others, demonstrates successful attendance and punctuality, and works overtime / extra hours as required to meet business needs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
• Demonstrated ability to complete complex accounting functions
• Microsoft Excel and ERP system knowledge
• Organization and time‑management
• Demonstrated history of meeting deadlines

• Verbal and written communication

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• At least five years of related experience required
• Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred
