A to Z Wineworks, LLC is hiring an Accounting Supervisor to support our Oregon brands—A to Z Wineworks, Erath, and REX HILL. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys combining hands‑on financial work with team leadership and continuous improvement. As a key member of the Finance team, you’ll help ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting operations, financial reporting, cash management, and internal controls across all three brands.
You’ll oversee a variety of accounting activities, lead and support our Finance Coordinator, and help drive efficient financial practices across the organization. The role is located in Newberg, Oregon.
- Manage assigned month‑end close responsibilities, prepare and review journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and support accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support audits, lender examinations, and external reporting requirements.
- Improve accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls.
- Provide first‑level supervisory support to the Finance Coordinator, including coaching, prioritization, problem‑solving support, and operational oversight.
- Serve as the first‑level escalation point for AP, AR, vendor, customer, and cash application issues.
- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Oversee vendor setup, vendor administration, customer setup support, and annual 1099 administration.
- Support Net Suite process improvements and transaction controls.
- Own daily cash accounting processes, including bank activity, transfers, receipts, disbursements, ACH activity, wire activity, and loan‑related journal entries.
- Prepare weekly liquidity actualization reporting and related cash reporting schedules.
- Prepare borrowing base support and lender reporting schedules.
- Complete and review bank reconciliations in Net Suite.
- Coordinate grower payment administration and collections communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting and finance operations experience required; CPA experience preferred.
- Prior mentorship, lead, or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Strong accounting foundation including close, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
- Experience with banking activity, cash accounting, AR, AP, and ERP systems.
- Microsoft 365 fluent (One Drive, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams), with expert‑level skills in Excel.
- Ability to operate computer and input devices for extended periods of time, in either a seated or standing position.
- This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 4 days per week onsite at the winery.
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional exposure to retail, industrial, and outdoor settings.
- Must be able to lift, move, and carry up to 45 pounds on an occasional basis.
Annual Salary: $74,000 – $86,000
