Role Overview :We are seeking an experienced, organized, and dependable Accountant to manage our day-to-day accounting functions while providing support in payroll and human resources.
This is an important position within our company and works closely with ownership, management, sales, and operations. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable taking ownership of accounting processes, and able to keep financial records accurate, organized, and current.

KeyDuties & Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
- Perform bank account reconciliations.
- Reconcile company credit cards and other accounts.
- Process vendor invoices, checks, and credit card payments.
- Help maintain accurate and timely financial records.
- Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Assist with profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash-flow forecasting, and other management reports.
- Work with management to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collect and review employee hours.
- Prepare and coordinate semi-monthly payroll.
- Prepare and maintain employee commission statements.
- Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
- Assist with payroll-related tax and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns accurately and on time.
- Maintain compliance with applicable tax requirements, particularly for our operations in Washington.
- Assist management in maintaining appropriate accounting controls and procedures.
- Maintain confidential employee personnel files.
- Assist with employee onboarding and related documentation.
- Maintain employee information and personnel records.
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment, health insurance questions, and time-off tracking.
- Help maintain compliance with company policies and basic employment and payroll requirements.
- Work closely with sales and operations to ensure projects, sales, payments, and commissions are recorded correctly.
- Help improve accounting and administrative processes.
- Assist ownership and senior management with budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Provide management with clear and useful financial information to support business decisions.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and general accounting practices.
- Proficiency with Quick Books Desktop and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidential employee and financial information.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly with both management and non-financial employees.
- Experience with payroll, HR administration, sales tax, or credit card processing is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- CPA or equivalent accounting certification is a plus, but not required.
