Position: Administrative Assistant, Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) Program

George Fox University's Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) Program is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the department with the day-to-day procedures.

About the Job:

The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Director of the Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of the program. Responsibilities include overseeing the budget, conducting program analysis, and managing daily operations. The individual in this full-time position will play an essential role in supporting the smooth functioning of the academic department.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Department Support
    • Providing comprehensive administrative and operational support for the IPE and School of Allied Health Sciences, including coordination of meetings and communications, budget and purchasing processes, inventory management, website and marketing support, accreditation activities, and serving as a key resource for students, faculty, and university constituents.
  • Logistics Management
    • Coordinating travel, meetings, retreats, and department events, including scheduling, room and catering arrangements, guest speaker visits, and logistical support for OTD, School of Allied Health Sciences, and Interprofessional Education programs and activities.
  • Resource Management
    • Maintaining department records, supplies, equipment, and purchasing needs, including document management, textbook orders, check requests, purchase orders, and inventory of essential resources.
  • Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
  • By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.

We're looking for candidates who have:
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Administrative professional experience (3+ years).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to exercise critical thinking skills in problem solving and decision-making.
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptive in a challenging and changing environment.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and MS Office software.
  • A high attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.

Job information:
  • Schedule:

    40 hours per week, 12 months of the year (1.0 FTE)
