Assistant Professor of Accounting

Job Responsibilities

• Teaching a broad range of undergraduate accounting courses within the College of Business curriculum, including managerial accounting, tax planning, accounting ethics, and financial accounting and reporting.
• Engaging with professional accounting and financial planning communities.
• Participating in department and university activities, including advising students and serving on university committees as needed.
• Communicating effectively and courteously with employees, students, and the public in a spirit of teamwork, respect, and customer service.
• Serving as a Christian role model for students through both formal supervisory roles and informal interactions.
• Demonstrating experience working cross‑culturally with respect, appreciation, and humility.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Ph.D. or D.B.A. in accounting or a related field (preferred). Candidates with a Master’s degree and an active CPA are also encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
• A commitment to the university’s Theology of Racial and Ethnic Diversity.

• Appointment at the assistant professor level is anticipated; candidates with significant teaching experience may be considered for associate professor rank. Salary and benefits are competitive with comparable institutions.
