MIDDLE SCHOOL ENRICHMENT TEACHER (INTERNAL ONLY) (REPOST)
JOB SUMMARY: Provide classroom, targeted instruction for middle school students in electives in the District’s Middle School Summer School Program.
QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge of: 6th-8th grade curriculum.
- Skilled in: Teaching middle school students.
- Ability to:
- Design or adopt curriculum and assessment tools for 6th-8th grade students.
- Manage educational assistant(s).
- Maintain classroom discipline.
- Demonstrate classroom organization and behavior management.
- Communicate orally and in writing and build relationships with staff, students and parents.
- Experience: Successful experience teaching middle school students, diverse students; preference given to bilingual candidates.
- Education: Completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in education/teaching and a current Oregon teaching license valid for grades 6-8.
- Certification
Required:
A valid teaching license issued by the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission for teaching grades 6-8.
- Align curriculum with grade level standards.
- Analyze student performance test results and create curriculum and use online programs to help students reach grade level standards.
- Work in PLCs.
- Collaborate with other members of the staff.
- Attend all staff in‑service meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:
Ability to read English and comprehend complex technical language; write memoranda, correspondence, lesson plans, reports, and student achievement summaries; present information in one-to-one and small group settings. - Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with a high degree of accuracy. - Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions in English; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Skills and Abilities:
Work collaboratively and establish and maintain effective relationships with co‑workers, supervisors, staff, students, parents and community.
The employee may be required to walk and stand continuously, bend or twist at the neck and trunk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift or move up to 40 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment is a school setting. Employees use telephone, computer, and other office equipment and may travel to program sites and meetings.
CLASSIFICATIONLicensed, TEMPORARY summer school position, located at Chehalem Valley Middle School. INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY.
WORK DAYS/HOURSAugust 3, 2026 through August 20, 2026;
Monday through Thursday student‑facing, plus 1 professional development/prep day. Employment contingent on enrollment and grant funding.
Paid by timesheet at the per diem rate of the 2026‑2027 Licensed Salary Schedule. Salary range $52,339 – $107,622.
