Job Overview

George Fox University's College of Education invites applications for a full‑time, teaching‑track position in the Preliminary Teaching License programs, beginning August 15, 2026. The 30‑credit appointment supports teacher preparation through teaching, advising, supervision, and service across undergraduate and graduate licensure programs. Courses may be delivered face‑to‑face, hybrid, or asynchronous online, with an expectation of active participation on campus.

• Teach courses in elementary mathematics and/or literacy instruction within the undergraduate and/or graduate preliminary licensure programs, using face‑to‑face, hybrid, and asynchronous online formats.
• Employ strong instructional technology skills to support candidates across multiple learning platforms.
• Advise candidates on program requirements and Oregon licensure standards.
• Supervise candidates during field experiences and practicum placements as needed.
• Collaborate with faculty and school partners on program implementation, accreditation, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in recruitment, advising, community‑building, and on‑campus service efforts for the College of Education.
• Communicate effectively and courteously with employees, students, and the public.
• Serve as a Christian role model for students and colleagues.
• Demonstrate respect for diversity of culture, background, race, sex, political views, and expressions of faith.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
• Licensure at the elementary or secondary level, with recent experience and endorsements.
• Availability to teach in person, online, and virtually for synchronous delivery.
• Commitment to the University's Theology of Racial and Ethnic Diversity.

Appointment at the Assistant Professor level is anticipated; candidates with significant teaching experience and a terminal degree may be considered for the Associate Professor rank. Salary and benefits are competitive with comparable institutions.
