George Fox University announces a part-time, adjunct chemistry instructor position to begin in August of 2026. This instructor needs to bring expertise in General Chemistry and/or Organic Chemistry. About the Job:

Jobresponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching laboratory and/or lecture sections of General Chemistry.
- Teaching laboratory and/or lecture sections of Organic Chemistry.
- Collaborate with Chemistry and Biology faculty members within the department.
- Teach courses in alignment with the university's mission and learning objectives.
- Develop and implement effective instructional strategies that promote student engagement.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
- Utilize the university's learning management system (Canvas) for course management.
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to university policies.
- Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
- By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
- Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A Master's degree, or significant professional experience in the relevant field.
- Demonstrated expertise in subject matter and commitment to student learning.
- Excellent professional interpersonal, organization, and communication skills.

Adjunct faculty are paid on a per credit hour basis, commensurate with education and experience.
