Job Duties and Responsibilities- Solves a wide variety of technical problems using knowledge in testing and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical systems.
- Analyzes requests to find suitable solutions for prototypes, production, or field failures.
- Organizes data and prepares documentation for assigned projects.
- Works independently and with minimal supervision, following detailed instructions to achieve results.
- Collaborates closely with hardware and software engineers and internal customers to resolve hardware or software issues.
- Processes moderately complex tasks involving documentation, databases, and failure‑investigation support.
- Investigates product and documentation issues, including moderate‑complex product complaints.
- Independently constructs standard lab test setups and records test results accurately and clearly.
- Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Five (5) years of technician experience.
- Proficient with standard electronics test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.).
- Able to read PCB schematics and troubleshoot failures down to the component level.
- Familiarity with inspection and rework to IPC standards for circuit boards and cable assemblies.
- Experience in PCB testing and qualification, with the ability to communicate results effectively in oral and written form, including technical reports.
- Experience entering data into database forms and/or ERP systems.
Ability to lift, carry, or maneuver up to 35 pounds with or without assistance. Manual dexterity to grasp, operate tools and equipment repetitively. Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel, climb steps, and twist throughout an entire shift. Exposure to chemicals, noise, vibration, and dust requires appropriate personal protective equipment.
