The Finance Director performs a variety of professional and technical duties related to financial, fiscal, and accounting functions of the District. This position is responsible for day-to-day transactional fiscal activities, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and completing reporting requirements. The role operates with a high level of autonomy under direct supervision of the HR Director. The position may give direction to or have management oversight of Administrative Assistant, Fiscal Assistant, or other personnel supporting financial and fiscal tasks.
DesiredQualifications and Experience
- 7 or more years of experience administering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger functions in a local government setting.
- 7 or more years of experience working with financial, payroll, and/or human resources information systems in a government setting including but not limited to Paychex, Springbrook, and/or Debt Book systems.
- 5 or more years of experience conducting bank statement reconciliations and related tasks in a local government setting.
- 2 or more years of experience employee management and supervisory experience in a finance setting.
