Medical Laboratory Scientist - Part-Time Night

Medical Laboratory Scientist at Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, Oregon. Part Time/Night Shift. The Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist Journeyman is responsible for accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. MT/CLS JRN personnel are capable of performing pre‑analytical, analytical and post‑analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They work with acute‑care and outpatient caregivers and other Laboratory Services staff.

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS‑accredited MLS program or
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences

  National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology
• Upon hire:
  National Clinical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology
• Upon hire:
  National Medical Technologist – American Society for Clinical Pathology
• Upon hire:
  National Medical Technologist – American Medical Technologists
• Upon hire:
  National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Medical Technologist
• 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a laboratory department or performing duties that meet or exceed those in the MLS I job description

• 3 years of clinical laboratory experience in a moderate‑ and high‑complexity laboratory
