Senior Pharmacy Technician

Providence Newberg Medical Center, Newberg, OR – Full time, variable shift.

• Fill and dispense unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and other departments.
• Dispense oral and IV medications accurately and promptly.
• Triage patient medication orders for proper routing.
• Maintain the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).
• Apply advanced knowledge and skills in two or more specialty areas.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician or Oregon Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
• Minimum two years (>4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and PTCB certification, or three years (>6240 hours) in a hospital pharmacy if no PTCB certification.
• Experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR).

• Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program.
• Advanced PTCB certificates such as compounded sterile products, advanced certified pharmacy technician, medication history, or controlled substances.
• Specialty certification such as ACPE approved sterile compounding where applicable by role and state.

Pay range: $26.79 – $40.99 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, and incentive pay.
